Building Brighter Futures
More than 74,000 students rely on 51¸£ÀûÉç for their education every year. With 80% of 51¸£ÀûÉç graduates staying in Texas, the college continues to serve as the region’s top trainer and re-trainer for high-demand careers. 51¸£ÀûÉç students become the teachers, nurses, accountants, tradespeople, business owners, and more who power the Central Texas economy.
Over the years, the way we’ve served our students has evolved just as the challenges facing Central Texans have also changed. We know that students need more than classes and grades to succeed – they need a community in which they can take root and grow.
As our students have changed, so has our mission – to love our students to success.
“51¸£ÀûÉç is the glue that holds our community together. We are more than a college—we are a lifeline, a launchpad, and a place where people find hope and opportunity. We are creating a path to success and a family-sustaining wage. Our mission is simple: to love our students to success. That means showing up, breaking down barriers, and making sure every student has the support they need to reach their goals. When our students succeed, our entire community thrives.” – Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, 51¸£ÀûÉç Chancellor
